"I adopted Rado from a shelter in AlvaRADO, Texas. The Husky Rescue of Dallas found him for me, so I made the hour drive and instantly fell in love with him. He was so sweet . . . he didn’t bark, and his friendliness made him comparable to a Golden Retriever. Husky mixes are strong-willed, but for those of us who are up to the challenge, they have you eating out of their paws in no time. Rado's Press is a cause near and dear to my heart, and I hope that this imprint will help to find homes for many more, just like my Rado."

Our History
RADO's Press is a newly established, nonprofit imprint created in the memory of Rado, a Husky-Malamute rescue who was “the best dog in the world,” according to his mom, publisher Milli Brown. In honor of Rado and the mission of his press, all profits will be donated to Operation Kindness, a Texas-based nonprofit animal shelter that not only provides lifesaving medical care and forever homes for homeless dogs and cats but transports them by land and air to safe shelters and rescues across the United States.
RADO's stands for Rescue Animals Deserve Our Support, and that belief is at the heart of everything we do. Through thoughtfully crafted children’s books, RADO’s Press will inspire young readers while directly supporting rescue animals in need. For Milli, this imprint represents the realization of a long-held dream: to merge her passion for publishing with her dedication to protecting animals. We are honored to bring this vision to life.
Launching in Spring of 2026 is the inaugural title for Rado’s Press, JoJo the Tornado Dog: A Tale of Rescue, Courage, and Adventure, written by New York Times bestselling author Michael Sampson and illustrated by Lauren Phelps. JoJo the Tornado Dog is more than a story—it’s a way to make a real impact. Every purchase helps Operation Kindness provide lifesaving medical care and find loving homes for homeless animals.
